We invite you to see 'Breakup' - the first exhibition devoted to research conducted by Kraków scientists in the Museum of Municipal Engineering.
'Breakup' is the first series of temporary exhibitions aimed at presenting research conducted by Kraków scientists. The exhibition presents, among others, detectors used by nuclear physicians for testing the reaction of disintegration of a deuteron (the nucleus of deuterium consisting of a proton and a neutron). The aim of these tests is to gain better knowledge of the interactions between basic constituents of matter.

Thanks to the knowledge gained so far, we can generate electricity in nuclear power plants, make effective diagnoses and cure people and disinfect food. What possibilities are offered by the knowledge that we obtain nowadays? Or maybe someone would like to take part in such research?

Visiting this exhibition may be the first step in this direction. The game utilising flash technology, which was prepared specially for the purposes of this exhibition, will help you to understand the topics being presented.

The exhibition will be available to visitors from 6 December 2014 till 1 March 2015 in the Museum of Municipal Engineering in Kraków, ul. św. Wawrzyńca 15.
