Museum Means More

What do you think of when you hear the word, 'museum'? Do you see museum exhibits as closed showcases, covered with dust, with "do not touch" labels on them? If your answer is 'yes', then we have the pleasure to announce a new programme which will challenge this stereotype entirely!

Museum Means More (MMM) is a programme of 73 events in 2012 which will influence and change your perception of museums. You will learn everything about a museum's environment and what is and is not possible there. For the whole year we invite Krakowians of all ages to the museum: children, youth, adults and seniors. We will prove that the Galicia Jewish Museum is a friendly space for everyone, and that everyone can find something of interest here. Please search our monthly programme and our website for events with the MMM logo. Plenty of fun is guaranteed because...a Museum Means More!

The Museum Means More programme is partially funded by the Dutch Jewish Humanitarian Fund.

Sweetest Family Sunday

During this carnival we invite all gourmands to a meeting with sweet-makers! This time around, the artists from "Ciuciu" confectionery will visit the Museum. If you want to find out how sweets were made in the 17th and 18th centuries, come and see for yourself.  You are more than welcome to taste them as well! In addition to familiarising yourself with traditional methods of manufacturing caramels, go and taste their freshness, still warm and sweet.

Sweetest Family Sunday is part of the Museum Means More programme, co-financed by the Dutch Jewish Humanitarian Fund.

In Polish, for children of all ages

The Rabbi will explain the importance of love in the Bible, talk about how the Bible illustrates this feeling, and how the Bible tells us to find our other half and cultivate love in marriage.
