The study of an object: Things new

A small but carefully selected collection of items which found their way to Seweryn Udziela Ethnographic Museum in Kraków between 2001 and 2011.
They include items with a past: works of art, objects of everyday use, those which illustrate how people live in different parts of the world as well immediately recognizable objects from our everyday life. Some have already been recorded in inventory books while others are still waiting, which reflects the exploratory nature of the Museum. We have been trying to reveal the essence in traces of people's lives, the changeable and short-lasting evidence of our times. It is a short story about our Museum which is sensitive both to the past and the present, the Museum, which a hundred years after its establishment remains curious about the world and immersed in its contemporary rhythm.
