This branch of the Historical Museum of the City of Krakow, created in 1993, is both the seat of the Zwierzyniec Artistic Salon, showcasing the works of artists associated with the Zwierzyniec district, and the venue for important events in this part of Krakow. It is located in a building set in among the picturesque scenery of Zwierzyniec, at the foot of Blessed Bronisława hill in Salwator. The permanent exhibition showcases the furnishings of an apartment, which in the early twentieth century, belonged to master sculptor Jan Florczyk. The interior was reconstructed based on the recollections of older residents of Zwierzyniec, but the furnishings are original.

The Zwierzyniec Artistic Salon organises literary-musical matinees, with the participation of Cracovian poets, musicians, painters and actors.
